Zack Smith Intolerance in America 2 Contextual Connection There have been many hate crimes and ways that people have gotten back at each other for one reason or another. But there are a couple of instances where people have put aside all other issues and problems to put hatred toward someone else. To me this is not right at all, there are many other things that people can do in there lives than hate on other people.Yet there have been so many people throughout history that choose to discriminate and hate others, that it’s probably not going to go away anytime soon. While reading the articles I thought to myself why do these people do this?As I kept reading further into the stories, it revealed to me that these things were going on because are intolerant of others.For example when I was reading A Backlash Against Arab Americans people were being discriminated against for looking like a particular race.A Sikh gas station owner in Arizona was shot and killed by a man who mistook him for being Muslim.This happened because he looked like a Muslim because of his turban and long beard, commonly associated with Osama bin Laden, who was the mastermind behind the terrorist attacks. People need to not jump to conclusions of someone that is another race.Also be tolerant of other religions and people, because if we cant do that then how are we ever supposed to become united and help one another that may be different than you.
